Drivers in Training

  • Communication should be done daily with the Driver Trainer/TM to schedule training stops if necessary.
  • Here are some schedule stop suggestions:
  • Microbulk trucks at Airgas locations should be filled by all trainees. Micro Bulk trucks are different to fill than a regular tank in regards to where the pressure should be kept during the delivery and fill valve location.
  • Hospitals - each new driver needs 2 or more shifts of multiple hospital deliveries to understand the process of filling a main/reserve tank.
  • Raytheon and Honeywell tanks in Tucson/Phoenix area drivers need authorization for Raytheon and Honeywell, takes a while to procure.
  • Suncor, Goodrich, Lockheed Martin tanks in Denver area

Special Trip Information

  • All El Paso runs need to be preloaded will take the whole shift
  • Group all hospitals north of phoenix, try to hit them all together - it is a layover.
  • Raytheon 847 tanks need to be hit M, W, F in the AM no other times, no other exceptions
  • Arg/Phoenix needs to be delivered with ASU LAR, avoid rail car, does not pass spec.
  • Large Binocular Telescope Observatory - when they pull they will pull half their tank, when you seem them pulling they need to be immediately put on schedule.
  • HONEYTUC9KN is a horizontal tank and will empty quickly once it reaches 20 inches

Special Handling Customers

Tucson

  • Abraxis Bioscience (ABRAXISPHXNFN)
    • Customer is on telemetry but they email in their order.
    • Driver is to remain on site until the customer tests are complete. This can generally take all day so it works best if you fill a customer and save X amount for Abraxis
  • Arizona Public Services - Palo Verde (APSPV3N/2N/1N)
    • Customer orders every Tuesday and Friday for the AM shift.
    • These tanks take about 225K and will require a balance.
  • SUBZERO9N or SKFOODSTOLLE2/13KFGN are great options.
    • Airgas West Phoenix - Argon (ARGWESTA)
    • Require UHP argon.
    • Tucson ASU usually passes for this.
  • Arizona Production and Packaging - LIN (AZPRODPCKC / AZPRODPCKN)
    • LIN is sporadic, they will pull heavy with no notice. Monitor tank closely.
