Mexico Pickups
Mexico Pickups is the process of Air Liquide Mexico picking up LIN and LOX from AMG and LI ASU's. The process involves daily communication between Mexico's point of contact and the Supply Chain Analyst. It is the Analysts responsibilty to effectively shift Mexico loads to sources which have little to no impact on AMG's supply chain operations. These sources chosen vary greatly depending on what is going on in the network in any given day.
Process
Step 1
Mexico point of contact reaches out to Supply Chain Analyst with daily loads needed, usually both LIN and LOX are needed, and between 2-4 loads per day of each
Step 2
Supply Chain Analyst determines the best ASU's to route Mexico to. Determining the source widely depends on the current demand and plant status of our plants in the network during any given time. Generally Cleburne has lots of LIN supply and generally has product, In addition to Longview with LOX. Once the two ASU's are selected relay the information back to Mexico point of contact.
Step 3
Reach out to the Logistics team to cut X amount of pick up tickets for both Lin and Lox at the appropriate sources and email them to the supply chain analyst, this process must be done typically within an hour or so.
Step 4
Once the pick up tickets are received, they are to be forwarded to the Mexico point of contact.
